Quote Unquote

What have you in mind when you quote other people?

Many make the mistake of quoting out of context. When they do that, what the other people said changes meaning. Then those other people would seem to have been wrong. But don't be too sure.

This is why it is important to verify what you hear or what you have been told. Don't take what people say for granted. The world is full of lies and misquotations.

When you misquote people or use people's quote for the wrong reason or give it a different meaning, you could destroy someone's life. What you do or say may even cause someone to end his or her life.

So before you quote what someone said, check the facts. When you quote someone, make sure you don't quote him / her out of context. It is unfair. It is wrong. It is unethical.

Misquoting someone can cause a lot of trouble. The saying goes, "Don't trouble trouble until trouble troubles you."

Most of the important things in the world have been accomplished by people who have kept on trying when there seemed to be no hope at all.”
